New Student Information
Training To Go

This page is designed to provide you with an overview of what the Training To Go Education Center is and what is needed to get started. It is suggested that all new students review all of the information contained here before registering and taking their first class. After reviewing all of this information, you should have enough information to be comfortable taking an online class.

How Does Learning Occur?

Currently, all courses provided by the Training To Go program
are self-study, which lets you learn on your own at your own pace, with the help of the instructor/forum moderator. Each course has an online forum that provides the assigned reading and lessons for the course. Sample screen shots of the forum are provided in the tour that you should take once you have registered for your first course.

You work towards completing the lessons at your own pace, which allows you to control your learning and repeat a lesson as many times as needed.

The lessons also come with practice files, which are used in conjunction with the manual for the course. Each forum has a moderator. You post questions, answers or relevant topics in the forum, which aids the learning process and allows interaction with the moderator and other students. The moderator's job is to ensure that you are able to complete all of the lessons for the course and answer any questions that you may have.
